Industrial Engineer / Troy, AL

Candidate will be responsible for conducting classic Industrial Engineering activities in manufacturing areas. Such tasks include, but are not limited to, time and motion studies, facility and workstation design, process improvement activities, knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles, work measurements and time standards, productivity and performance management, capacity analysis, simulation modeling, cost analysis and estimating. Candidate will be a member of one or more Performance Management Teams (PMT) and will be responsible for driving continuous improvement and capturing cost savings. Candidate may be responsible for participating in the Statistical Process Control (SPC) and On-Machine Gauging (OMG) activities in manufacturing areas. Candidate will conduct frequent presentations to inform and/or persuade manufacturing management. Candidate must be customer-focused with good oral and written communication skills. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and work effectively with a team and all levels of management. Candidate should be a self-starter with demonstrated self-initiated goals and results.

The Locale: Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters. Troy is a great place to live offering lots of things to do and has a small town charm. Troy is also a college town and is home to Troy University. Where can you get to from Troy? Our facility in Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
Understanding of classical Industrial Engineering tools/techniques and application of these tools/techniques.
Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance and must have, at minimum, an interim security clearance to start.
Desired skills
Industrial Engineering degree or academic equivalent.
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate ideas/solutions to all levels of management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in MS Project software. Proficiency in MS Access Database creation/ maintenance. LEAN Six-Sigma Green or Black Belt training/certification. Relevant work experience in a technical/manufacturing environment. Experience generating/implementing process improvements. Demonstrated leadership skills.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
