Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule the dispatching of transportation vehicles and drivers - Monitor and track the movement of vehicles using GPS and transportation management systems - Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support throughout their routes - Receive and prioritize incoming calls from customers, drivers, and other stakeholders - Analyze data and reports to identify trends, optimize routes, and improve overall efficiency - Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of goods - Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including driver logs, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of supply chain and transportation management principles - Proven experience in dispatching or related field - Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and fleet management software - Proficient in using phone systems and other communication tools - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively - Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions - Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping - Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Note:
